Il y a Greta. Et il y a Xiuhtezcatl Martinez. Né le
9 mai 2000, d’un père indigène et d’une mère qui a créé l’association
écologique « Earth Guardians » (Les Gardiens de la Terre), il a grandi au milieu des montagnes, rivières et forêts du ColoradoAvec ses cinq frères et sœurs il a grandi.
Il intervient à l’âge de 6 ans pour la première fois en public après
avoir regardé un documentaire sur le réchauffement climatique.
En
2015, à seulement 15 ans, Xiuhtezcatl est venu rapper avec un texte
engagé en clôture de la Conférence des Nations Unies pour la COP21 à
Paris (discours ci-dessousetchanson là).
Il se définit comme “un rappeur déguisé en activiste” et vise à être à la fois un artiste, un adulte qui sert sa communauté et quelqu’un qui aspire à changer le monde.
